BMW M440i xDrive 2023 from the USA: import cost step by step
This BMW M440i xDrive 2023 came to us from a US auction, where it was bought for $20,000. We bought it on the client’s behalf only after checking the vehicle history (CARFAX, AutoAstat, EpicVIN) and pricing any repairs, the cost was known before the auction, so there were no surprises on arrival.
The car crossed to Europe by container only, with professional tie-downs, which rules out the damage typical of open car carriers. After unloading it went through customs clearance, excise, the estimated repairs, document translations, a roadworthiness test and full preparation for registration in Poland.
Delivered to the door, the car cost the client 150,000 PLN, everything included. A comparable car at a Polish dealer costs around ~200,000 PLN. Real saving: 50,000 PLN. 67 days passed from the winning bid to delivery at the client’s door.
